An international delegation led by Saad Al-Qaddumi, President of the World Crafts Council (WCC AISBL), is visiting Rishton district of Fergana region.
The delegation includes guests from the USA, India, Kuwait, Russia, and South Africa.
The guests are accompanied by the Deputy Khokim of the region, Khurshidjon Akhmedov, and the Chairman of the “Hunarmand” association, Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov. The delegation was also met by the khokim of Rishtan district, Bakhodir Khalikov.
The delegation visited the workshop of the master of folk applied arts, the famous potter Alisher Nozirov, and got acquainted with the traditional pottery of Rishtan. The guests participated in the master classes led by the master and observed the unique examples of art with great interest.
Rishtan art is not only a craft, but also a priceless heritage and a vibrant symbol of our country’s culture.
